San Antonio Spurs forward/center Victor Wembanyama sustained a bruised rib during Monday's win over Philadelphia. He was injured early in the second quarter in a collision with Paul George. Wembanyama returned to the game midway through the second frame, but he asked to be subbed out with 44.3 seconds left until halftime. The MVP candidate didn't play in the second half, finishing with 17 points, five rebounds, one assist, and three blocks in 16 minutes. San Antonio will return to action on Wednesday night against Portland, and Luke Kornet, who notched 10 points and three rebounds in 22 minutes on Monday, would have an expanded role if Wembanyama misses time.--Taavi Pailk
