David Martinez extended his win streak by defeating former bantamweight title challenger Marlon Vera via unanimous decision in the co-main event of UFC Mexico City on Saturday. Martinez controlled the initial rounds, showcasing effective strategy and skill, while Vera, who is known as a slow-starter, started pushing the pace in the third round, but Martinez managed to stay out of harm's way. In 15 minutes of action, Martinez landed two takedowns and 71 significant strikes. This is by far the biggest win of Martinez's career. With the win, Martinez is now 3-0 in the UFC.--Alen Kurbasic
