Travis Bazzana 2026 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Former Top Overall Pick Looking to Put Injuries Behind Him
Travis Bazzana, the former number one overall pick in 2024, has had quite the struggle in his professional career since being drafted. After struggling in his High-A debut in 2024, Bazzanna was still promoted to AA for 2025 because of his pedigree and production at Oregon State. But in 2025, he was only able to play in fewer than 80 games between AA and AAA because of several oblique injuries. He did manage to hit nine home runs and steal 12 bases, but finished with a .245/.389/.424 line on the season. His on-base ability should play at any level, but he needs to stay healthy and show some of the batted-ball and power abilities from college before he can get a full-time shot as Cleveland's second baseman. The opportunity is there with just Brayan Rocchio ahead of him, and Bazzana should get an MLB call-up at some point this summer. Since he already turns 24 years old this summer, how he performs in that audition might go a long way to determining if he has a place with Cleveland in the future.
