Mike Trout 2026 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Remains Elite When on the Field
Mike Trout endured the worst season of his storied career in 2025, slashing .232/.359/.439 with 26 HR over 556 PAs. The biggest difference was an astronomical 32 K%, but it was a fluke. Trout's 10.5 SwStr% was nearly three points higher than his 7.8 career mark, but it doesn't support a K% that high. Trout's 38.8 Swing% is relatively passive but in line with his prime seasons, and he still has an amazing eye with a 15.6 BB% and 19.9 percent chase rate. Otherwise, Trout's performance remained elite. His 43 FB% and 21.3 percent HR/FB were close to his career marks of 42.6 and 21.7, respectively, and he's cemented in the heart of the Angels lineup. Trout hasn't stolen double-digit bases since 2019, but otherwise, he's still Trout. The bigger question is whether the 34-year-old can stay healthy. Trout's 130 games played were his most since 2019. There's talk of a return to centerfield, though whether the Angels follow through is anyone's guess. Trout's 187.42 ADP is a bargain for elite performance, especially in OBP formats and shallow leagues with better replacements when injury strikes.
