Brandon Nimmo 2026 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Can Nimmo Maintain His Quality Fantasy Production Leading Off With A New Team?
Brandon Nimmo was traded to the Texas Rangers as part of a deal that sent Marcus Semien to the New York Mets during the offseason. Texas will be Nimmo's first MLB team outside of New York. Last year with the Mets, Nimmo attacked opposing pitchers harder than ever, with a new career-high Hard-Hit Rate of 50.8%. He set new career bests in home runs (25) and RBI (92). Nimmo also scored 81 runs, stole 13 bases, and posted a .262/.324/.436 triple slash line in 155 games. Rangers manager Skip Schumaker confirmed that Nimmo is the team's new leadoff hitter, likely giving him more at-bats compared to 2025. ATC Projections on RotoBaller forecast the 32-year-old to 22 home runs with 79 runs, 73 RBI, nine steals, and a triple slash of .250/.329/.422 in 623 plate appearances. The NFBC ADP for Nimmo is 140, while RotoBaller.com ranks him as 133 overall, indicating that he is a bit undervalued. With four consecutive seasons of over 150 games played going into 2026, Nimmo seems to no longer be a significant injury risk, either.
