Cody Bellinger 2026 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Bronx Reunion Should Help Continue Production
While not coming close to replicating his 2019 NL MVP season, Cody Bellinger has had two very productive years since leaving Los Angeles. Bellinger had something of a down year in 2024 but bounced back in the Bronx last season. So, re-signing with the Yankees should be a good thing. He gets the short porch all season and given none of his 29 home runs were hit the opposite way, his pull-happy approach is suited to Yankee Stadium. Bellinger will also get to hit in the heart of last season's highest run-scoring offense. Counting stats shouldn't be an issue for Bellinger in 2026. He also managed to stay healthy in 2025, playing 152 games. That was the most Bellinger has played in a season since 2019. It was a marked improvement on the 130 games Bellinger played in each of the previous two years. His batting average might regress a bit, given he had a .254 xBA (expected batting average) and a .272/.334/.480 slash line. But Bellinger has outhit his expected batting average in each of the last three seasons, while hitting an impressive .281/.338/.477 since 2023. Bellinger should once again contribute across all the main hitting categories and have no problem being a top-20 outfielder.
