Key injuries of note on today's slate include: Devin Booker (questionable), Jaime Jaquez (questionable), Davion Mitchell (doubtful), Deni Avdija (doubtful), and Austin Reaves (out). There are always a lot of more injury statuses announced in the afternoon hours, so make sure you are monitoring that information as closely as possible.
In this article, I will provide my favorite NBA player props picks for Thursday, January 15th. Prop picks can range from individual stats, such as points, assists, rebounds, three-pointers made, and defensive statistics, to combination props (Points + Rebounds + Assists = PRA). All odds and sportsbooks used are listed, but it's always a good idea to shop around, as odds change throughout the day as bets are placed. Alright, let's get to the picks already!

Today’s Best NBA Picks for Player Props
Let’s take a look at the top player props for today’s NBA slate:
- Jaylen Brown over 11.5 Rebounds + Assists
- Jusuf Nurkic over 22.5 Points + Rebounds
- Nickeil Alexander-Walker over 20.5 Points
- Jaylin Williams over 5.5 Rebounds + Assists
- Anfernee Simons over 12.5 Points
Jaylen Brown over 11.5 Rebounds + Assists (-125 Bet365)
Celtics star Jaylen Brown is having the best season of his career with Jayson Tatum out for the season. He's done most of his damage scoring the basketball, but the peripheral stats have been strong as well. The wing is averaging 6.4 rebounds and a career-high 5.0 assists per game.
Tonight's matchup against Miami sets up for him to surpass those averages tonight, as their up-tempo play leads to extra possessions in their games. Boston is the biggest possible beneficiary of this situation as they play at the slowest pace in the league, while Miami plays at the fastest pace. Despite boasting the fourth-ranked defense, Miami allows the fourth-most rebounds and the sixth-most assists in the league due to those extra possessions.
Jusuf Nurkic over 22.5 Points + Rebounds (-114 FanDuel), (-116 NOVIG)
Utah big man Jusuf Nurkic was a surprise DNP for their matchup against Chicago on Wednesday. Presumably, that was just a rest spot for the veteran on the front half of a back-to-back, as he has otherwise been playing outstanding basketball. Over his last seven games, Nurkic has averaged 31.6 minutes, 17.4 points, and 12.0 rebounds, clearing this PR line in each game.
Tonight's matchup also adds to the appeal, as Dallas has allowed the most points in the paint and the third-most rebounds in the league. Nurkic has scored more than 68% of his points from the paint this season.

How Does Novig Work?
Since users are not playing against the books, there is an opportunity to make more money per wager that you win, and users can usually find better values on bets (in terms of the prices being offered) than on traditional sportsbooks.
There are no oddsmakers; users dictate their own odds. You can either accept the odds that the market is offering or set your own odds. If you set your own odds, another user has to accept them on the other side for the bet to be activated.
For example, if you set the odds of Jaylen Brown to go over 29.5 points at -110, then anyone can flip the bet and take the under on his points prop at +110. Users drive the market, not the sportsbook or oddsmakers!
Top NBA Value Picks and Sleeper Props
Betting on superstars is always exciting, but the best value often lies in the margins of a roster. Role players and emerging contributors can offer hidden edges, especially as the season wears on and injuries start to shake up rotations. We don't want to wager only on superstars; it's often the role-players and less-known players who may offer us the best markets.
Let’s dive into some of the top value plays for today’s NBA slate.
Nickeil Alexander-Walker over 20.5 Points (-118 DraftKings), (-107 NOVIG)
Atlanta wing Nickeil Alexander-Walker is having the best season of his career. He averages 20.7 points per game this season, and he's topped this line in three straight games. Atlanta will be without Kristaps Porzingis, who ranks second on the team in usage, just ahead of NAW. In 24 games with Porzingis inactive this season, Alexander-Walker's scoring average jumps to 22.5 points per game.
He gets an elite matchup against a Portland team that plays at the eighth-fastest pace and ranks just 18th in defensive rating. The extra possessions in the up-tempo game environment and a below-average opposing defense should help NAW cruise over his points line.
Jaylin Williams over 5.5 Rebounds + Assists (-115 Bet365)
Isaiah Hartenstein remains out for the Thunder, which should provide a path for Jaylin Williams to play more than 20 minutes in this game. Houston is a big team that often runs Alperen Sengun and Steven Adams on the floor together, which creates an opportunity for Williams to receive even more playing time in this spot. Additionally, Lu Dort is listed as questionable, and his absence would pave the way for an even cleaner path for Williams. The big man averages 4.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game this season, and he should see enough court time to grab six combined boards and assists.
I’m still thinking about this sequence from Jaylin Williams last night.
A strong overall performance from him as he finished the game with 11 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 blocks. #ThunderUp

Anfernee Simons over 12.5 Points (-112 Bet365), (-125 NOVIG)
Boston 6th-man Anfernee Simons has taken on a larger role lately. Over his last eight games, he's averaging 25.6 minutes and 15.9 points per game. He's cleared 12.5 points in seven of those eight games.

Tonight's matchup against Miami should provide a few extra possessions than usual. Boston plays at the slowest pace in the league, while Miami plays at the fastest pace.
