Brent Key Signing Five-Year Deal to Remain at Georgia Tech
Georgia Tech head coach Brent Key has agreed to a new five-year deal that keeps the 47-year-old in Atlanta through at least 2030, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel. Key, a former Georgia Tech offensive lineman from 1997 to 2000, has led the Yellow Jackets to a 27-19 record through his first four campaigns. In 2025, Tech is having its best season (9-3) since Paul Johnson went 9-4 in 2016. His third straight bowl berth is the most for Georgia Tech since the 2012 to 2014 seasons. Key has the chance to lead Georgia Tech to its first 10-win season since 2014 with a bowl-game win this year. His new deal comes with a significant salary increase and is pending formal approval from the GTAA Board of Trustees.
