Florida Hiring Brad White as Defensive Coordinator
The Florida Gators are hiring former Kentucky defensive coordinator Brad White in the same role, according to Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports. White spent seven seasons on the Indianapolis Colts' staff before joining Mark Stoops in Lexington as an outside linebackers coach in 2018. He was promoted to the defensive coordinator role in 2019 and served as Kentucky's defensive play-caller through the end of the 2025 season. This is a strong hire for new Florida head coach Jon Sumrall, as White has been a part of some of the better SEC defenses in recent years. The Kentucky defense was unable to sustain its high level of performance in the last few seasons of the Stoops era, but White is credited with helping develop NFL Draft picks like Josh Hines-Allen, Jamin Davis, Dru Phillips, and Maxwell Hairston.
