Tagir Ulanbekov Suffers Third-Round Submission Loss
Tagir Ulanbekov suffered a third-round submission loss to former title challenger Kyoji Horiguchi on the UFC Qatar main card opener on Saturday. Ulanbekov didn't do much in this fight, and after showing signs of fatigue in the second round, it was only a matter of time before Horiguchi finished him. After getting dropped in the third round, Ulanbekov found himself in the world of trouble as Horiguchi sank in the rear-naked choke. Ulanbekov didn't find a way to escape, so Horiguchi put him to sleep. In 12:18 of action, Ulanbekov landed a takedown and only six significant strikes. With the loss, Ulanbekov dropped to 6-2 in the UFC.
