Kyoji Horiguchi Makes Triumphant UFC Return
Kyoji Horiguchi marked a triumphant return to the UFC on the UFC Qatar main card opener by defeating Tagir Ulanbekov via third-round submission. From the opening bell, Horiguchi was aggressive, and it didn't take him long to take over the fight. Despite being taken down early in the fight, Horiguchi managed to knock Ulanbekov down with a thunderous head kick and soon after, Horiguchi sank in the rear-naked choke, putting Ulanbekov to sleep. In 12:18 of action, Horiguchi landed 49 significant strikes. With this win, Horiguchi asserted himself as a contender. Horiguchi is most likely the next in line for a title shot after Alexandre Pantoja and Joshua Van settle their differences.
