Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 12:
Kyle Monangai, RB, Bears
Chicago Bears running back Kyle Monangai has been able to remain on the fantasy radar by putting together a two-game touchdown streak. His volume has been reduced since D'Andre Swift returned to action, as the rookie has 19 carries for just 2.7 yards per carry over his last two games, plus a 14-yard reception. However, he has posted at least 8.8 fantasy points in each of those contests by finding the end zone.
While Monangai is certainly not guaranteed to score a touchdown every week, he does have goal-line upside, perhaps filling a David Montgomery-esque role in Chicago's Ben Johnson-led offense. Even as Swift leads the backfield in snaps and touches as a fantasy RB2, Monangai has shown that he can be a weekly RB3/flex. The rookie is worth starting in leagues with at least 12 teams ahead of Sunday's Week 12 contest against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Panthers
Carolina Panthers rookie first-round wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan (ankle) was listed as a full practice participant on Thursday in the team's first practice of the week, according to the team's official website. McMillan is dealing with a minor ankle injury that shouldn't impact his availability for a Monday night game against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 12. The 22-year-old pass-catcher out of Arizona has immediately become Carolina's top receiver and has impressed in his first 11 games, catching 54 of his 89 targets for 748 yards and four touchdowns.
McMillan set season highs across the board in catches (eight), targets (12), and receiving yards (130) while also scoring twice in the overtime win over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. A second straight monster performance could be in store for McMillan against a 49ers defense that is banged up. McMillan has clear WR1 upside in fantasy this week.
Chimere Dike, WR, Tennessee Titans
Tennessee Titans rookie wide receiver Chimere Dike (chest) was listed as a full participant in Wednesday's practice despite leaving the Week 11 loss to the Houston Texans early with a chest injury. Dike should be fine to play in Week 12 versus the visiting Seattle Seahawks in a game in which the Titans are probably going to have to throw often. Meanwhile, fellow rookie Elic Ayomanor (hamstring) didn't practice on Wednesday after getting hurt on Sunday, and Calvin Ridley (leg) is done for the season after breaking his leg.
The 23-year-old Dike could be in line for a heavy target load this weekend against Seattle, which would make him an attractive flex consideration in fantasy football. The fourth-rounder has caught only three passes for 19 yards in the last two games, but he did have 11 catches on 12 targets for 163 yards and a touchdown in Weeks 7 and 8 combined.
Quinshon Judkins, RB, Browns
Cleveland Browns running back Quinshon Judkins carried the ball 17 times for 59 yards and failed to catch either of his two targets in a 23-16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 11. Judkins was unable to capitalize on what appeared to be a good matchup on paper against the Baltimore run defense, as he managed just 3.5 yards per carry in the loss.
The rookie has now been held out of the end zone in three consecutive games as the Cleveland offense continues to struggle to move the ball. Judkins will look to bounce back in Week 12 against the Las Vegas Raiders on the road.
