Matthew Golden Practicing Again on Thursday
Green Bay Packers rookie first-round wide receiver Matthew Golden (shoulder) is practicing again on Thursday, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky. Golden was listed as limited for the team's walkthrough practice on Wednesday, and head coach Matt LaFleur said early in the week that the team would ease the 22-year-old back onto the field after a shoulder injury kept him from playing in Monday night's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. LaFleur also said that the rookie was really close to playing on Monday, which makes it sound like Golden has a pretty good chance of playing in Week 11 versus the New York Giants. The 23rd overall pick back in April out of Texas has plenty of long-term upside, but he's failed to stand out in Green Bay's crowded WR room in his first eight NFL games, catching 23 passes for 262 yards and no touchdowns. UPDATE: Golden was limited in practice again on Thursday.
