Nic Anderson Could Return for LSU this Season
LSU wide receiver Nic Anderson (knee) was believed to have suffered a season-ending knee injury in the loss to Alabama on Saturday, but his MRI came back better than expected, and he could return this season. It's been a disappointing year for Anderson and most of the LSU offense. The junior Oklahoma transfer has hauled in just 12 passes for 106 yards and two scores this season. With LSU out of the College Football Playoff hunt, Anderson and the team could opt to shut his season down. It will be interesting to see how it plays out, and there's no guarantee Anderson will be back in Baton Rouge next season after the program moved on from head coach Brian Kelly. The absence of a disastrous long-term injury could make him a strong transfer portal target for a wide receiver-needy team.
