Chris Grier Out as Dolphins GM, Mike McDaniel Safe for Now
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports that the Miami Dolphins and general manager Chris Grier have mutually decided to part ways. The news comes the morning after the team fell 28-6 to the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday Night Football. Grier had spent over two decades with the franchise and served as the team's GM since 2016. Currently, head coach Mike McDaniel has retained his position. It was expected that changes would come for the Dolphins at some point, and after a 2-7 start, the first domino has fallen. With the trade deadline just five days away, Miami's senior personnel executive, Champ Kelly, will act as the interim general manager.
