After a breakout campaign in 2024, Davis Thompson took a slight step back in 2025 but still recorded seven top-25 finishes, including a T19 last week at the Procore Championship. He will look to carry that momentum into the Sanderson Farms Championship, where he finished T16 in 2023. Success at this event typically hinges on approach play, putting, and distance off the tee. Thompson ranks 75th in strokes gained approach (+0.101 per round) and 77th in driving distance, but struggles with the flat stick, ranking just 145th in putting and losing -0.325 strokes per round. He also sits in the 80th percentile in proximity from 100-150 yards, a key range that accounted for more than 33% of approach shots here last year. At $9,700 on DraftKings, Thompson is one of the most expensive golfers in the field and will need a solid week with the putter to contend this weekend.--Dakota Legg - RotoBaller
