Should I start Troy Franklin, Wan'Dale Robinson, or Darnell Mooney. for Week 4? Fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks and recommendations for the 2025 NFL season.
It is hard to believe it is already Week 4. We now have a small but significant sample size to help us guide our lineup decisions in fantasy.
Thankfully, there are still plenty of options each week with all 32 teams in action. Unfortunately, that will come to an end in Week 5 with bye weeks on the horizon.
This article will examine whether Troy Franklin, Wan’Dale Robinson, or Darnell Mooney are worth starting in fantasy football for Week 4. Let’s dive in.

Should I Start Troy Franklin for Fantasy Football?
There was hope that Troy Franklin was emerging as the secondary weapon in Denver’s passing attack after the first two weeks of the season. The second-year receiver had racked up 15 targets, 12 receptions, 133 yards, and a touchdown in his first two games.
Unfortunately, Franklin couldn’t maintain the positive momentum into Week 3, even though Denver’s offense was missing Evan Engram. Franklin caught just two of four targets for eight yards. It was an underwhelming performance, but it was still encouraging that Franklin finished second on the team in targets.
The Broncos need to get their passing offense back on track, and Week 4’s opponent, the Cincinnati Bengals, is a team that can help them do it. The Bengals have allowed the sixth-most receiving yards this season (786) and the 11th-highest explosive play rate (13.9%) this season.
Franklin has emerged as the clear second receiving in Denver, running the second most routes (73.8%) with a 20% target share. There are probably better options out there than Franklin in Week 4, given Denver’s pass game struggles. That said, Franklin does have FLEX appeal given the matchup against the Bengals.
Should I Start Wan’Dale Robinson for Fantasy Football?
Wan’Dale Robinson is second on the Giants in targets (22), receptions (15), and receiving yards (223) through New York’s first three games. Robinson was strictly utilized as a low average depth of target receiver his first three seasons (5.1), but has been used down the field far more in 2025 (12.5 average depth of target).
Robinson is still used primarily as the Giants’ slot receiver (80.6% slot rate), which does limit his upside. However, that shouldn’t be as big a problem in Week 4.
The Chargers have an excellent passing defense, but their secondary can be exploited in the slot. Los Angeles is last in the NFL in average depth of target to slot receivers (10.7) and 27th in yards allowed (269) and yards per route run (2.02) to the slot.
Expectations need to be tempered in Week 4 since 2025 first-round pick Jaxson Dart is making his first career start against the Chargers. However, Robinson should still be viewed as a safe option that can serve as a security blanket in the middle of the field.
Robinson should be viewed as a high-floor play in Week 4 thanks to his ability to get open quickly for a rookie making his first career start.
Should I Start Darnell Mooney for Fantasy Football?
Over the last two weeks, Darnell Mooney has led the Atlanta Falcons in targets (15). Unfortunately, that has not resulted in much production (six receptions for 64 yards). Atlanta’s passing offense has struggled with Michael Penix Jr. under center to start the year, which has hurt the production of all of their receiving weapons.

The result has been just one receiver (Drake London) averaging more than 6.5 fantasy points per game. Even London (10.3 PPR points per game) has struggled to be fantasy-relevant throughout the season.
It is impossible to trust Mooney given the offense’s struggles. Still, if you are looking for a boom-or-bust option in your lineups, he may be the ideal candidate. Mooney was sixth among all wide receivers in Week 3 in targets (11) and 11th in air yards (114). If Penix can be more consistent and connect with him down the field, there is potential for big games on the horizon.
