Tucker Kraft, Jake Ferguson, David Njoku: Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Picks for Fantasy Football Week 4

Tucker Kraft - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Should I start Tucker Kraft, Jake Ferguson, David Njoku for Week 4? Fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks and recommendations for the 2025 NFL season.

If you've been starting Jake Ferguson or Tucker Kraft, you're probably feeling pretty confident about the tight end position right now. Perhaps not so much with Kraft after a disappointing Week 3, but he remains TE5 through three contests. Ferguson has delivered as the TE1 on the season, gaining consistent volume.

David Njoku's situation has been a little more concerning. He's down at TE19 at the moment, and splitting work with rookie Harold Fannin Jr. hasn't helped. The usage is there, but it hasn't been as significant as what we've seen from Ferguson and Kraft.

So how should you manage these TEs heading into Week 4? Let's break down the matchups and recent usage to determine if these players belong in your starting lineup or if sitting on the bench is the best idea.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Should I Start Tucker Kraft for Fantasy Football?

Kraft takes on the Cowboys in Week 4, a defense that has been struggling to contain the pass. Dallas has given up the most passing yards in the league at 900.

They've also allowed seven passing TDs, a league-high 9.8 yards per passing attempt, and have sacked opposing quarterbacks four times (fewest in the league). The passing game is in a prime spot for Kraft to bounce back from Week 3's 5.9 PPR showing.

Through three weeks, Kraft has hauled in 11-of-14 targets for 169 yards and two scores, registering a 25.5% share of Green Bay's receiving yards. He's averaging 15.4 yards per reception, proving he's not just catching dump-off passes.

He's a bit banged up, playing through knee and elbow issues in Week 3. Still, he managed to bring in three catches on four targets. He'll get back on track this week as the Cowboys have been middle of the pack against tight ends. Overall, teams have used their passing attack to gash Dallas.

That's likely to happen again this week, making Kraft the strong starting TE in a game where the Packers may need to keep pace. His involvement has been steady, so look for Kraft to earn plenty of production against this secondary. Comfortably start him this week.

Should I Start Jake Ferguson for Fantasy Football?

One of Dak Prescott's favorite targets is his tight end, Ferguson, and this was on full display in Week 3. The TE was peppered with 14 targets, bringing in 13 for 82 yards.

Through three contests, he has registered 27 catches for 183 yards. He still hasn't found the end zone, an issue carried over from last season, but he's seeing elite volume. The matchup with Green Bay this week is a reason to feel confident in starting Ferguson. The Packers have given up the sixth-most fantasy points to tight ends this year.

Opposing TEs have recorded decent lines against the Packers each week, with Sam LaPorta tallying 79 yards in Week 1, Zach Ertz going for 64 yards and a score in Week 2, and David Njoku posting 40 yards in Week 3. In fact, each of those tight ends was the leading receiver for their teams when facing Green Bay.

Ferguson should take a step forward in the receiving game with CeeDee Lamb (ankle) missing time. There's a possibility he could finally find the end zone in this one. At 24.4%, Ferguson trails only Trey McBride in target share among tight ends. With elite usage and a solid connection with his QB, Ferguson is a must-start this weekend.

Should I Start David Njoku for Fantasy Football?

Despite sharing work with Fannin, Njoku has been reliable, recording 12 catches on 17 targets for 117 yards through three matchups. He registered five receptions for 40 yards against Green Bay in Week 3 while playing 76% of the snaps.

This week, he's facing a Lions defense that has had difficulty containing tight ends. Detroit has surrendered the fifth-most fantasy points per game to the position, giving up three touchdowns to tight ends (tied for most in the league).

We've seen good production from tight ends they've faced so far, as Kraft scored a TD in Week 1 and Mark Andrews scorched them for 91 yards and two scores in Week 3.

Njoku landed on the injury report with a knee issue, so keep a close eye on his status. He was limited in practice on Wednesday and listed as a full participant on Thursday (estimated participation since the team did not practice). If he is active, he's a good start for the week.

His ceiling isn't as high as Kraft's or Ferguson's, given the timeshare with Fannin. Still, if you're thin at the position, especially in deeper leagues, Njoku is a startable option in a promising contest.
