Mac Jones Aggravates PCL Sprain in Week 3 Win
Mac Jones (knee) told members of the media that he re-aggravated his PCL sprain during Sunday's Week 3 win over the Arizona Cardinals. He had previously suffered the injury during training camp but was healthy in time for the regular season opener earlier this month. While the re-aggravated ailment did affect Jones' productivity, he was able to play through the injury, leading the 49ers to a win with Brock Purdy (shoulder) sidelined. The former first-round pick finished Sunday's divisional contest having completed 27 of 41 pass attempts for 284 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Jones' status for Week 4 is uncertain, but it may be a moot point with Purdy nearing his return. Fantasy managers should stay tuned for updates on both quarterbacks when the 49ers issue their first injury report of the week on Wednesday.
