Marcus Davenport Unlikely to Play in Week 3
Detroit Lions defensive end Marcus Davenport (chest) is unlikely to play in Week 3 against the Baltimore Ravens, according to Lions head coach Dan Campbell. Davenport suffered a chest injury during Detroit's Week 2 win over the Chicago Bears. Injuries have been a consistent theme of Davenport's career, as he's played in just eight games since the start of 2023. Still, the 29-year-old is a big part of Detroit's defense as the starter opposite star defensive end Aidan Hutchinson. Without Davenport, the Lions will likely turn to Al-Quadin Muhammad, who has recorded four sacks across 11 games for Detroit over the past two seasons. The Lions' defense could struggle to put pressure on Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson without Davenport in Week 3.
