Will Zach Charbonnet play in Week 3 for fantasy football? Is Zach Charbonnet injured or hurt heading into Week 3 of 2025? Read the latest Zach Charbonnet injury report.
Seattle Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet (foot) started off the season with 12 carries for 47 yards and a touchdown in Week 1. It appeared, at least back then, that he would have a prominent role in the backfield moving forward.
But in Week 2, he carried the ball 15 times for just 10 yards, averaging a miserable 0.67 yards per carry. This was against the Pittsburgh Steelers defense, which had been dominated by New York Jets RB Breece Hall in Week 1, so it was highly disappointing.
Even worse was that fellow Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker III ran 13 times for 105 yards and a touchdown and caught one pass for 13 yards, scoring 18.8 PPR fantasy points. But with Charbonnet dealing with injury news, will he even play in Week 3? Let's find out!

Zach Charbonnet Fantasy Football Injury Update
Charbonnet is dealing with a foot injury. The latest news is pretty pessimistic. He's officially been declared "doubtful" for Week 2, meaning it's highly unlikely that he plays in that contest. You can pretty much assume he won't be playing.

It's not clear the actual condition he's suffering from, because that information hasn't been released, so it's hard to speculate how much time he'll miss or how hobbled he'll be when he returns.
Is Zach Charbonnet Playing in Week 3?
It's extremely unlikely. "Doubtful" players tend to not play in the upcoming games. There are situations in which they do, but less than six percent of players listed as doubtful on the injury report ended up playing in their team's contest that week.
Zach Charbonnet Fantasy Football Outlook for Week 3
There really isn't any outlook. If he does play, he'll likely have his reps significantly capped, and only get a handful of carries or perhaps a few blocking reps. If he were questionable, he'd have a good chance of playing, as around 75 percent of questionable players end up suiting up for their games.
It does happen a few times a year that "doubtful" players end up playing in their games, but it's pretty rare. Interesting that questionable only means about a 30% chance of missing the game, though. Data from a FootballGuys article pic.twitter.com/EatXZXNy5V

The outlook implications for Walker are far more important. He'll be set to get most of the running back snaps and could get very nice volume in Week 1. It's unclear if his capped reps in Weeks 1-2 were due to a load management program for the injuries he had in the preseason, though.
