Bucs Could Go With Committee Approach at Tight End
Cade Otton (leg, hamstring) is dealing with leg and hamstring injuries that could prevent him from playing in the team's season opener against the Atlanta Falcons on Sept. 7. If Otton is unable to go, the Buccaneers will rely on a committee consisting of Payne Durham, Devin Culp, and Ko Kieft, per Brianna Dix of the team's website. From a fantasy standpoint, it's not a particularly exciting group. The three have combined for just 29 career catches over a total of five NFL seasons (two apiece for Durham and Kieft, one for Culp). On the other hand, a healthy Otton has been a factor in the Bucs' passing attack. The 26-year-old appeared in 14 games in 2024 and set career highs in catches (59), targets (87), and yards (600), and he tied his personal-best mark with four touchdowns. If he's able to get back on the field soon, Otton could play an even bigger role with wide receivers Chris Godwin (ankle) and Jalen McMillan (neck) shelved with injuries for the foreseeable future.
