Kevin McGonigle Snaps Skid on Tuesday
Kevin McGonigle was able to snap his skid on Tuesday, facing Double-A New Hampshire. In this contest, the top-ranked prospect in the Detroit system went 2-for-4 with a long ball. Over his last four games, he did not tally a hit and held a 2:6 K:BB. However, before this brief slump at the plate, the No. 6-ranked prospect in baseball on MLB.com held a stellar .351/.457/.882 slash line with one double, two triples, five home runs, and a stolen base through his previous 10 contests. Since moving up to join Double-A Erie, McGonigle has been one of the most impressive bats in the minor leagues, holding a .276/.399/.586 line with eight long balls and four stolen bases. Fantasy managers should continue to keep a close eye on his status as he should be in the mix to join Detroit later in the 2026 season.
