Gabriel Moreno to be Back in Friday's Lineup
Gabriel Moreno (finger) is set to be activated from the 60-day injured list and return to the starting lineup for Friday's series opener against the Cincinnati Reds, according to manager Torey Lovullo. "I penciled [Gabriel Moreno] in the lineup for tonight," Lovullo said on MLB Network radio on SiriusXM. The D-backs will be taking on Reds right-hander Zack Littell in the series opener in the desert. The Snakes are ready to bring the 25-year-old backstop back after he caught back-to-back games in the minors for Triple-A Reno on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. Moreno has been out since mid-June with a fractured finger, but he will return to starting duties behind the plate for Arizona the rest of the way. The Venezuelan will be returning to a .270/.324/.414 slash line with only five home runs, 20 RBI and 29 runs scored in 174 at-bats in 2025.
