Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert played only the first series in the team's 23-22 last-second preseason loss to the Los Angeles Rams. The 27-year-old completed just two of five attempts for 46 yards and took one sack in his brief outing. Now entering his fifth season, Herbert should have a more improved offense this season with the return of second-year receiver Ladd McConkey, rookie Omarion Hampton set for a bigger role, and veteran Charger WR Keenan Allen back on the team. Herbert passed for 3,870 yards and 23 touchdowns with only three interceptions in 2024, adding 306 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
