Alec Pierce Considered Day-to-Day With Groin Injury
Alec Pierce (groin) is considered day-to-day with a groin injury, a source tells Jeremy Fowler of ESPN. Pierce suffered his groin injury during practice over the weekend, but thankfully it does not appear to be very serious despite the fact that he had to be carted to the locker room from the field. Still, there's a good chance the 25-year-old pass-catcher won't be able to suit up for the second preseason game this Saturday against the Green Bay Packers. Heading into the 2025 season, Pierce will be battling for a depth role in Indy alongide Josh Downs and Adonai Mitchell behind WR1 Michael Pittman Jr. Pierce led all receivers in 2024 in yards per catch (22.3), yards per target (11.9) and aDOT (21.4). He also scored seven times, but he only caught 39 total passes, and Indy's QB situation won't exactly endear him to fantasy managers as anything more than a late-round flier.
