Jasson Dominguez Out of Saturday's Lineup
Jasson Dominguez is not in the lineup for his team's game against the Houston Astros on Saturday. With Aaron Judge limited to designated hitter duties due to a right flexor strain, Giancarlo Stanton is starting in right field for New York. That pushes Cody Bellinger to left field and Dominguez to the bench. In 374 plate appearances so far this season, Dominguez is hitting .255/.332/.391 with nine home runs, 37 RBI, 50 runs scored, and 19 stolen bases. With Stanton now in the outfield mix, Dominguez could be at increased risk of losing playing time, particularly against left-handed pitching. The 22-year-old is a switch-hitter, but he's hitting just .198 with one home run in 102 plate appearances from the right side of the plate this season.
