Max Muncy Returns to the Lineup with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday

Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Max Muncy (knee) went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts in Tuesday's rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City. Muncy also played six innings at third base and committed an error in the fifth inning that allowed a run to score. This was Muncy's first game back in action since July 2, and was a big first step in his return to the Dodgers lineup. In Muncy's absence, Tommy Edman and Miguel Rojas have been handling the hot corner, although both have the versatility to play most infield positions. Muncy started the season off slow, but caught fire in June, slashing .333/.459/.654. On the season, Muncy is slashing .250/.375/.457 with 13 home runs, 55 RBI, four stolen bases, and 39 runs scored. He remains a mid-range option at third base for fantasy managers once he returns, which should be sometime in the next week or two.
