Houston Astros Showing Interest in Willi Castro
Willi Castro. Castro has been a solid asset for the Twins over the past three seasons, playing multiple positions, and hitting .252 with 31 home runs, 196 runs scored, and 121 RBI. While those offensive numbers do not stand out, Castro's ability to play both infield and outfield is an excellent way for managers to allocate off-days to those who need them, while still fielding a competent lineup. The Astros have publicly stated that they would like someone with those capabilities to play both outfield and second or third base, making Castro a good fit for them. As far as Castro goes at the plate, it would likely not have much of an impact for him as a switch-hitter going from Target Field to Daikin Park. With the trade deadline approaching on July 31, fantasy managers will want to keep tabs on what the Twins decide to do with Castro.
