Rafael Devers Making First Start at First Base
Rafael Devers is making his first career start at first base and will bat third in the order on Tuesday against the hosting Atlanta Braves and right-hander Davis Daniel at Truist Park. After refusing to play first base in Boston after the season-ending injury to Triston Casas (knee), Devers was traded to the Giants in the first half and immediately said he'd be willing to work out at the cold corner. In fact, this is also the first time that the 28-year-old will play the field in 2025 after serving as a full-time DH for his first 102 starts of the season. His fantasy managers will just be hoping that the Dominican can get going at the plate on Tuesday. Since joining the Gigantes, the three-time All-Star has hit just .219 (23-for-105) with two home runs, 10 RBI and 10 runs scored in 29 games played.
