3 Impact Fantasy Baseball Prospects To Stash - Bubba Chandler, Logan Henderson, Brandon Sproat

Logan Henderson - Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Rankings, MLB DFS, MLB Injuries

Three top fantasy baseball prospects - Bubba Chandler, Logan Henderson, Brandon Sproat - that can make big impacts. These MLB prospects are waiver wire pickups or stashes.

Throughout the first half of the campaign, fantasy managers have seen several high-end pitching prospects not only make their MLB debut but also look quite comfortable at the top level of the sport. For example, both the Brewers and Reds promoted their top pitching prospects, Jacob Misiorowski and Chase Burns, who have already flashed immense upside in the big leagues.

In this piece, we will look at two pitching prospects who are performing at a high level at Triple-A and nearing their promotion. Additionally, we will also check in on a pitcher who has given a brief look in the majors and could be on the verge of a return.

Should those players be left on the waiver wire, or should fantasy managers add them before their breakout? Let's dive in!

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball draft tools and resources:

Bubba Chandler, SP, Pittsburgh Pirates

Current Level: AAA
Availability: 15% rostered
2025 AAA Stats: 77 IP, 3.27 ERA, 1.36 WHIP, 97 SO, 39 BB

While Bubba Chandler appeared to be on the fast track to taking over the top pot over Paitnr after his strong finishes to the first half, the righthander took a significant step back on Friday evening. Facing Triple-A Nashville, Chandler allowed eight hits and five runs across just 3 2/3 innings.

In this outing, the No. 2-ranked prospect in the sport on MLB.com allowed two walks and struck out four hitters.

This was a disappointing showing for Chandler as he was enjoying an impressive start to July. Through his first two outings of the month, the right-hander tossed 2 shutout innings with a 1.17 WHIP and a 13:4 K:BB.

This came after a rough June, where Chandler was quite ineffective, logging 12 2/3 innings ot the tune of an 8.53 ERA and a 2.23 WHIP.

Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his production in July, as he could remain in the mix to debut this month, especially if the Pirates were to trade some of their veterans in the rotation, such as Mitch Keller and Andrew Heaney. Despite his inconsistencies, Chandkler has still flashed immense upside at Triple-A.

Through his first 39 1/3 innings with Triple-A last season, the right-hander posted an elite 1.83 ERA with a 1.04 WHIP.

Logan Henderson, SP, Milwaukee Brewers

Current Level: AAA
Availability: 5% rostered
2025 MLB stats: 21 IP, 1.71 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, 29 SO, 6 BB

Unlike the other names on this list, the right-hander has already made his MLB debut this season. When Henderson got the call in the first half, he looked quite impressive, tossing 21 innings ot the tune of a 1.71 ERA and a 0.95 WHIP. During this stretch, the right-hander struck out 29 hitters and showed elite command, allowing walks ata 7.4% rate.

However, the Brewers opted to send him back to Triple-A Nashville to likely preserve his innings. While this move was frustrating for the manager, with the Brewers now just one game behind the Cubs for the NL Central, Henderson could be in play to be given another look in the back half of the season.

When Henderson was optioned, the Brewers welcomed back Brandon Woodruff and prioritized rookie Jacob Misiorowski, who has emerged as an NL Rookie of the Year candidate. While Henderson may have to wait for an injury to get the call, he has shown that he is more than capable of holding his own in the big leagues.

Since returning to Triple-A, Henderson has tossed 68 2/3 innings of the tune of a 3.01 ERA and a 1.05 WHIP. He has struck out an eye-catching 80 hitters while serving up just 20 walks.

Given that he may have to wait for any injury, he is a solid stash option in deeper 12+ team formats.

Brandon Sproat, SP, New York Mets

Current Level: AAA
Availability: 5% rostered
2025 AAA Stats: 85 IP, 4.34 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, 70 SO, 38 BB

Hey, look, Brandon Sproat is pitching well again. After an eight-start stretch from May 14 to June 22 where he had a 6.88 ERA, 1.74 WHIP, 11.9% walk rate, and just a 13.1% strikeout rate, Sproat has been a whole new pitcher over the last month.

In his last four starts, Sproat has posted a 0.00 ERA, 0.61 WHIP, 7.4% walk rate, and a 33.3% strikeout rate across 23 innings. That's right, Sproat hasn't allowed an earned run over his last 23 innings, and opposing batters are slashing just .111/.210/.125 off him during this span.

As fellow RotoBaller writer Chris Clegg noted today on X, there's a tangible change behind Sproat's improvement, which stems from shifting closer to the first base side of the pitching rubber. Sproat has also thrown more curveballs and changeups over his last four outings in favor of fewer sinkers, sweepers, and sliders.

With these changes being made, Sproat is back inside my Top-25 prospects to stash rankings this week, and we could see him debut down the stretch for the Mets. While Nolan McLean (at Triple-A) and Jonah Tong (at Double-A) have also been quite impressive in the New York system, Sproat is beginning to turn the corner and could be the first one of these three budding pitchers to reach Queens.
