Jabari Smith Jr. Signs Massive Extension
Jabari Smith Jr. agreed to a massive extension with the organization on Sunday. The two sides have come to terms on a five-year, $122 million extension. Clearly, the Rockets believe Smith is going to be a big part of their future going forward. It's worth noting that Smith did play as a reserve for most of last season. Despite that, Smith has been a reliable contributor over the last three seasons. He averaged 12.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.1 assists across 30.1 minutes per game in 57 contests last season. It remains to be seen how the addition of Kevin Durant is going to impact the rotation. The Rockets will find a way to get Smith involved, but he'll probably still fall outside the top-100 in nine-cat formats.
