Curtis Samuel 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook: Veteran Buried on the Depth Chart
Curtis Samuel joined the team last year in free agency, but his impact was modest. Despite being a top-50 WR in the previous two seasons, Samuel finished as the league's WR102 in PPR leagues with 31 receptions for 253 yards and one touchdown in 14 games. Although he caught all of his catchable targets, Samuel's aDOT was merely 4.6 yards, and he saw just 3.3 targets per game. Samuel returns to Buffalo for 2025, but so do top receivers Khalil Shakir and Keon Coleman, plus a quality tight end in Dalton Kincaid. While Mack Hollins and Amari Cooper are now gone, the Bills replaced them with Joshua Palmer and Elijah Moore in free agency. In his ninth season, Samuel should once again struggle to gain enough traction to be useful in fantasy football. He fittingly is being drafted as the WR126. Samuel will likely need injuries above him in the pecking order to stand out. Shakir in particular stands as the team's slot receiver, the role Samuel would fit best in. Only pursue Samuel at the end of your drafts in very deep leagues.
