Ryan Jeffers Exits with Hand Contusion
Ryan Jeffers (hand) left Tuesday's contest after taking a ball off his right hand in the bottom of the fourth inning. It's officially been ruled a right hand contusion, with X-rays coming back negative for a fracture, reports Bobby Nightengale of the Minnesota Star Tribune. That's good news for the 28-year-old who has been a staple behind the dish for the Twins this season, playing in 12 of the team's 15 games in June. Christian Vazquez, who was demoted to purely backup duties, replaced him in this game following the injury. Hopefully Jeffers will be back in the lineup within the next few days, as he's slashing a solid .251/.348/.379 with four home runs this season.
