Athletics Promoting Denzel Clarke to Major Leagues
Denzel Clarke to the major leagues. The 25-year-old opened the 2025 campaign by making his Triple-A debut and earned an early MLB promotion. Through his first 31 games with Triple-A Las Vegas, the outfielder has posted a strong .286/.436/.419 slash line with eight doubles, three triples, and seven stolen bases. He has shown a strong eye at the plate, holding a 29:23 K:BB. Last season, the No. 5-ranked prospect in the system spent his entire season at Double-A, where he posted a .269/.339/.445 slash line with 21 doubles, 13 home runs, and 36 stolen bases. Given his impressive speed and defensive skills, he could take opportunities from either JJ Bleday in center field or Tyler Soderstrom in left field. Fantasy managers in deeper five-outfielder leagues should monitor his playing as he could be a worthy target, if needing speed production.
