Mark Stone Sustains Upper-Body Injury Saturday
Vegas Golden Knights right wing Mark Stone (upper body) was forced to exit Saturday's Game 3 against the Edmonton Oilers after logging only 5:54 of ice time. He suffered an upper-body injury during the first period, which robbed Stone of the opportunity to extend a three-game multi-point streak. Overall, he had registered points in five consecutive games before Saturday night. If he were to miss more action, the Golden Knights captain would represent a significant loss, as he has tallied a team-high four goals and eight points in nine playoff outings this year. Golden Knights head coach Bruce Cassidy labeled him day-to-day after the game. Brandon Saad (lower body) could replace Stone in the top six if he is ready to return from injury.
