Washington D.C. will host the NFL draft in 2027 on the National Mall, where the Washington Monument stands, a source told The Washington Post's Mark Maske. An official announcement is expected to come Monday at the White House. The draft will be held in Pittsburgh next year in 2026. This will be the first time that Washington has hosted an NFL draft. After owner Josh Harris bought the Commanders franchise in July of 2023, the team went from 4-13 in his first year to 12-5 and in the NFC Championship game this past season under first-year general manager Adam Peters and head coach Dan Quinn. Washington announced a deal on April 28 that would bring the organization back to the stadium it called home from 1961-96, but the nearly $4 million deal for a new stadium still must be approved by the D.C. council.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
