Jazz Chisholm Jr. Could Be Forced To Injured List With Oblique Injury
Jazz Chisholm Jr. (oblique) will have testing on his right oblique during the team's off day on Thursday. Manager Aaron Boone said there is some concern it could be an injured-list situation, although Chisholm told him that he feels "fine." Although the Yankees' lineup for Wednesday's series finale against the division-rival Baltimore Orioles hasn't been posted, fantasy managers should be expecting the 27-year-old to sit out. Depending on what testing reveals on Thursday, Chisholm could also be absent this weekend in the Bronx against the division-rival Tampa Bay Rays. Although he's hitting just .181 (19-for-105) on the year, Chisholm does have seven home runs and six stolen bases and should be stashed in an IL spot if he lands on the shelf. If Chisholm ends up missing extended time with this injury, Pablo Reyes figures to be the primary beneficiary at the keystone.
