Toronto Maple Leafs left wing Mitch Marner scored a natural hat trick to lead the way in Friday's victory over the Detroit Red Wings. Marner scored his first goal of the evening in the opening frame on a slap shot which beat netminder Cam Talbot. Later in the period, Marner would strike again, this time on the power-play in the final minutes. This goal would eventually stand as the game-winner. Marner would then cap off his natural hat trick with a deflection goal during the second period. Marner is now riding a seven-game point streak. Over this stretch he has tallied 11 points (three goals, eight helpers) and has averaged just under three shots on goal per game. While Auston Matthews (upper body) remains sidelined, fantasy managers should expect Marner to play on the top unit alongside John Tavares and Max Pacioretty.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerRead More News
