Jonathan India Not In Monday’s Lineup

Cincinnati Reds second baseman Jonathan India will take a seat on the bench for Monday's series opener against the St. Louis Cardinals. India has been in a bit of a slump at the plate over the past few weeks, hitting just .109 with one home run, two doubles, and one RBI since July 24. The day off will allow the 27-year-old to reset amid his slump. Spencer Steer will lead off and play second base in his place, while Will Benson, TJ Friedl, and Jake Fraley will occupy the three outfield spots on Monday. India should be back in the lineup for Tuesday's contest.
