With the 13th pick in the 2024 MLB Draft, the San Francisco Giants selected outfielder James Tibbs out of Florida State University. Throughout three seasons at FSU, Tibbs improved every season and put up huge numbers this season with a .363 batting average to go along with 28 homers, 95 RBI and eight stolen bases. The 21-year-old swings from the left side of the plate and has shown improvement at the dish throughout his three seasons at FSU, as he lowered his strikeout rate and improved his walk rate considerably throughout his tenure as a Seminole. Tibbs has struggled with off-speed pitches, but makes himself known by crushing fastballs. With plenty of power potential, Tibbs could be a big pick for the Giants if he can improve against breaking pitches.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBallerRead More News
