Luis Pajuelo suffered a first-round submission loss to Fernando Padilla at UFC Vegas 89 on Saturday. Pajuelo was getting pieced up in the first round as Padilla looked sharp from the opening bell, tagging Pajuelo with all sorts of shots from a distance. Just as Pajuelo was getting more comfortable, Padilla landed a beautiful combination that knocked Pajuelo down. As Pajuelo started getting up, Padilla found an opening and finished the fight by sinking in a standing d'arce choke. In 2:45 of action, Pajuelo landed five significant strikes. --Alen Kurbasic
