New York Islanders defenseman Scott Mayfield (lower body) won't join the team for a brief two-game road trip next week, which features stops in Dallas and Detroit. He came out of the lineup Saturday versus Tampa Bay with a lower-body injury and will now sit out at least a couple of more games. The Islanders will miss Mayfield's ability to block shots the most. He has stopped 106 efforts on goal while contributing only five assists offensively in 41 games. Sebastian Aho came into the lineup as his replacement on Saturday.--Taavi Pailk
