Yair Rodriguez suffered a third-round submission loss to Brian Ortega in the co-main event of UFC Mexico City. Rodriguez was coming off a lopsided TKO loss to Alexander Volkanovski for the featherweight title. Rodriguez dominated the first round outstriking Ortega 50-to-7 and it appeared he was close to finishing the American. However, Rodriguez struggled in round two and was quickly submitted in the third round to fall to 18-5 and one No Contest in the UFC. --Cole Shelton
