It's the usually calm Friday night before the madness of Saturday. We have four games on this slate spanning from coast to coast and covering four different conferences. What more could we ask for?
We start in St. Louis with Virginia Commonwealth in town to face the Billikens. Villanova heads to the nation's capital to take on Georgetown. Toledo hosts Ohio in a battle for MAC seeding. We close out in San Diego with New Mexico facing the Aztecs.

Today's DraftKings Guards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks
Ra'Heim Moss, Toledo ($7.7K)
Moss's low point in DraftKings points was 21.25 in a loss to Indiana State on November 24. His floor is much higher than any other guard on the slate. He has only topped 40 twice, but in a cash game, I'm siding with Moss over the upside of Jaelen House. In the head-to-head meeting with Jaylin Hunter on January 2, Moss outscored Hunter by 12 DraftKings points. Something can be said for a sure thing on a small slate. Moss is part of my cash core tonight.
Lamont Butler, San Diego State ($6.3K)
We went safe with our first pick, so we'll go with a little upside with volatility here. Butler has run the gamut of high and low outcomes just in the last two games alone. He had the lowest of lows with just seven DraftKings points against Nevada because he fouled out in just 21 minutes. He rebounded with a double-double against a formidable Colorado State team. Butler found himself in foul trouble in the first game against New Mexico, but if he can keep his hands to himself, he was running hot before the Nevada disaster.
Darrion Trammell, San Diego State ($5.6K)
If you can't handle buying stock in Pepto to run Butler, Trammell is a suitable alternative. The Aztecs have leaned heavily on him of late. He has played at least 30 minutes in four straight games, notching 40 points, nine rebounds, 16 assists, five steals, and a block in that span. Those are strong peripheral numbers for a value play and are all well above his season averages except for the rebounds.
Larry Hughes II, St. Louis University ($4K)
Hughes played just 14 minutes in the first game against VCU on January 19. He has played at least 22 minutes in every game since. Hughes is averaging 9.7 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.3 assists, and 0.2 blocks in that span. We dream of value like this from a $4K guy. I expect Hughes to be much more of a factor than he was in the first meeting.

Today's DraftKings Forwards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks
JT Toppin, New Mexico ($7.9K)
Toppin dominated the interior against the Aztecs in the first meeting. He racked up 53.5 DraftKings points thanks to a massive 17-point, 16-rebound double-double. The freshman is still pulling in rebounds like he's Shaq at LSU, but his scoring has been sporadic. Judging by what he did the first time around, I think he'll be fine. Toppin's ceiling is the best on the slate and he's not priced like it.

Javan Simmons, Toledo ($6.6K)
Simmons was in foul trouble in the first meeting with Ohio and only played 25 minutes. It was only about five weeks ago, but it seems like longer. Simmons is averaging 16.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.3 steals, and 0.8 blocks over the last six games. More importantly, he has only committed more than three fouls once in that span. If he can stay on the court, his recent hot streak should continue.
Jay Pal, San Diego State ($5.3K)
Pal is still offensively challenged, but he's an elite rim protector and strong on the boards. That's what got him in the starting lineup to begin with. The rest of the starting five for the Aztecs are a skilled bunch offensively, so don't expect a points spike from Pal. What we can expect is a half-dozen rebounds and a couple of blocks to go with one or two made shots. That's still a solid floor for a value play.
