Mike Malott suffered a stunning third-round TKO loss to Neil Magny at UFC 297 on Saturday. Malott entered his main card spot as a sizeable favorite and looked to be cruising to a win. The Canadian outstruck Magny 20-to-5 in significant strikes in the first round, and then in round two outstruck him 21-to-6 in significant strikes, as well as going 2-for-2 on takedowns with 3:08 of control. However, Malott gassed out and was taken down by Magny who landed ground-and-pound strikes and scored the TKO win with 15 seconds left.
