Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy underwent successful back surgery on Thursday and is expected to make a full recovery in 8-10 weeks. Of course, this is a major blow to a Lightning club that is seemingly losing its footing in an improving Atlantic Division. The club's 92 points last season were its fewest in a non-COVID, non-lockout season since the 2011-12 campaign while the youthful Senators, Red Wings, and Sabres continue to make strides underneath them. Last season, the six-time All-Star posted a 2.65 goals-against average and .915 save percentage while going 34-22-4 across 60 appearances. Next in line between the pipes for the Lightning is Jonas Johansson who owns a career 3.32 GAA and .887 Sv% across just 35 NHL appearances.--Brenton Kemp
