Veteran big man Serge Ibaka is joining Bayern Munich on a one-year contract, according to Spanish basketball writer Marc Mundet. The 33-year-old heads across the bond after spending 14 seasons in the NBA. Ibaka started out as a defensive specialist with the Oklahoma City Thunder and was twice the blocks leader in the league while also being named to the All-Defensive First Team three times. He ended up playing for five teams, winning the NBA championship with the Toronto Raptors in 2019. Last season, Ibaka played for the Milwaukee Bucks but suited up for only 16 games and averaged fewer than 12 minutes a night. In February, he was traded to the Indiana Pacers, who waived him two days after the deal. Ibaka has made 919 appearances in the NBA, averaging 12.0 points and 7.1 rebounds with 1.9 blocks.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerRead More News
