Marvin Mims Jr. Could Have Big Role To Open The Season
When the Denver Broncos took speedy wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. in this year's draft out of Oklahoma, it felt like more of a luxury pick. Suddenly, as the team prepares for Week 1 against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, Mims could have a big role with Tim Patrick (Achilles) already out for the year and Jerry Jeudy (hamstring) questionable. Mims can play inside or outside, has return ability and has a reputation as a smart player. However, speed is his calling card. The 21-year-old had injuries to both his hamstrings early in training camp, but he's healthy now and could have a big role this Sunday if Jeudy is limited or inactive. Mims is worthy of a late-round flier in leagues that haven't drafted yet, and he'll be a sleeper flex play in deeper leagues in Week 1 if Jeudy doesn't suit up.
