Volkan Oezdemir returned to the win column in a big way at UFC Paris. Oezdemir was facing short-notice replacement and UFC newcomer Bogdan Guskov, and right away, the Swiss native used leg kicks and jabs to piece up Guskov. Oezdemir even shot for a takedown and got it, as Guskov landed a few good punches in a row. After they got back to their feet, Oezdemir hurt Guskov and knocked him down. Once Guskov was on the ground, Oezdemir was landing ground-and-pound, but eventually got his back and sunk in a rear naked choke and got the tap in the first round. It was Oezdemir's just second submission win in his career. With the victory, Oezdemir should get a top-10 opponent next.--Cole Shelton
